Well tonight Melanie Addi and I had a fun FHE. We decided to make a birthday present for my mom, Karen. I wont say much about it right now because we haven't given it to her yet but it turned out pretty dang cute. I am positive that Karen will love it!

Well i meant to post last week, but in the process of updating my phone I deleted my saved draft. Bummer. Anyway this last week Ember, my sister in law was sick. Melanie ended up helping out a lot with the kids. She does a great job when its just her and the kids.

Well this weekend Melanie and I have had an enjoyable time so far. Right now we are on are way back from lava hot spring. We stayed there for a few hours andf had an enjoyable time talking about life and working out the things that seem to be constantly trying to bring us down.

We spent the night at my parents house Saturday night and went to church with them on sunday. We were in charge of family home evening. After the lesson we had a small belated birthday party for Melanie. We had a little activcity which involved everyone telling Melanie how amazing she is and how much we love her.

We left around 8 pm and stopped by my mom's (Marnae) house were We had another small party and ice cream cake. Melanie appreciates all the love and support that everyone has shown her. Thank you all for your great examples and for your love.

Life is busy, as usual.

Well over the past few weeks or so Melanie and I have been pretty busy. Melanie stays busy around the house. Except for a few days a week she goes and stays busy at other peoples houses. She cleans and babbysits for a few people close by. She is still recovering from her latest health issues. She has been given the green light to try and get off the prednisone again. The problem is that as she decreases her dosages she experiences pains in her neck and shoulder. She is doing great though and everyday I marvel at how strong and amazing she is.

I am still working in south offending at the fresh market. I have started playing ward basketball here, it is fun but I still don't like the competitive feelings between me and other church leaders. Melanie's birthday is tomorrow. I can't quite tell if she is excited about it or not. Anyway life is interesting and more challenging each day. We try to take things one day at a time and hope for the best.

As of today Melanie and I have been married for two years! Wow that is so crazy!

This last weekend we went to Lava Hot Springs. Melanie had never been there before. She loved it so much she wishes we could go back every other day! Earlier on in the week we also went out for a nice dinner at outback steakhouse, I really liked that! MMM. ..

Two years passed quickly. We are doing well, we are still head over heals for each other and growing closer and closer each day. We love you all, thanks you for all you love and support.

Wow this year seems like it has flown by! Christmas is only in a few days! That seems crazy to me!
Things are going ok with My beautiful wife Melanie and I. Unfortunately Melanie has had another flair up with her sudo tumor. We have taken her to see a diffrent doctor, one that has a little more experience with these rare cases. She is back on prednisone, and doing alright other than the bad side effects from the steroid. I am still working at Fresh Market in South Ogden. The change over has been going fairly smooth and we hope to have a good boost in business over the holidays.
Other than that not much going on here! Sorry for the lack of posts, I will try and get on a regular schedual. Love you all!

Well we are doing pretty good for the most part. We are still settling in after 3 months of living in sandy. We have moved our stuff around several times and I think we are getting comfortable again. This last week I finished converting a suitcase full of home videos. I couldn't have done it without Melanie. (I've had them for two years haha...) We are excited to see family for thanksgiving!

A long weekend

Well things are still going alright with Melanie and I. This weekend has been a little busy. I had to work friday night, saturday night and then early sunday morning. I ended up sleeing at my parents house so I didnt have to make the hour long drive twice in six hours. Melanie's parents came over this weekend, they had a funeral to go to in orem.
Today is monday and I am looking forward to a nice day off of work. Anyway that is our busy weekend in a nutshell...love you all!

Everything is still going good here. Today Melanie and I got a lot done! We moved all our boxes from the garage down stairs. We also managed to get the coach, the entertainment center, the coffee table, and another desk brought down too. Melanie helped me lift all that down! She is pretty amazing! Anyway so now the basement looks a lot better and we are all set up for the most part. (This is a picture of me and Dylan listening to music and watching the itunesvisualizer.)

Over Labor Day weekend we went on a hike around Alta ski resort. We went with Melanie's brother Dan and his family along with Melanie's other brother Scott and his family. It was a nice little hike even with the rain! haha... We all walked, kids and all, for about 15-20 minutes and suddenly it started to rain! The wind was blowing and the temperature started to drop pretty quick. We all ran back to our cars and other than being slightly wet we were all fine.

Hello there! Well so far things are going good as far as I can tell at our new location. Melanie and I are still slowly getting things unpacked. We like to go for walks around the neighborhood. For those that don't know, I grew up just down the street from where we are now, so as we walk Melanie likes to here about all the little things I remember about growing up in sandy.
Melanie and I are both looking for new jobs so if anyone has suggestions we would appreciate them. Anyway, I am trying to post pictures but there seems to be something wrong with google's server so keep coming back and I will post some pics as soon as I can. (again this is being typed up on my phone while on my lunch at work so i will edit all the mistakes later tonight. haha) Love you all!

Well I am not really sure how many people are actually following this blog but for those that might be I will give you the update on our long busy month. First let me tell you that I am writting this post from a new application on my phone so sorry for spelling and grammar mistakes.
Anyway, we are now living in sandy in Melanie's brother's basement. Melanie is not currently working, but is looking for a new job. I am looking for a new job and am currently still working at albertsons in south ogden.
Melanie's health has been doing a lot better. She is now off the prednisone and is on a diet prescribed by a nutritionist. She has done an awesome job sticking to it. the combination of her good diet and lack of prednisone has helped her feel a lot better.
Anyway things are going pretty good. thanks for all your support and love, we love all of you!

It has been a while….

It has been a while since the last time I posted a blog, I am sure that most everyone knows by now the occurrences in our (Melanie and I) lives lately. Just incase anyone is wondering Melanie is doing a lot better. She is seeing a chiropractor and her condition seems to be improving, YEAH!!! Anyway I just want to thank everyone that has given their support and help, we appreciate it so much. Thank you again.

DVD Cloner Software

Hello there everyone, a few people have asked me about some of the software that I use to backup DVDs. So I decided to let everyone know just in case anyone else needs it. Dan and Ember have said that it would be great to be able to backup their DVDs so that the little kids don't scratch up the originals. That is a great idea, but it is extremely hard to find a good program that will work with all DVDs, including the new ones. The program that I use is called DVD Cloner. I bought this program back in high school and have used it quite a bit. My license is just about up and I am fully confident that I will pay the money for this great product. Well another week has blown by. Fortunately I am looking forward to next week though. This week has been rough. I have had quite a bit of homework and I have a test tomorrow. Next week is Spring break and I am really looking forward to it. I only work one day, I will take a couple days vacations so i don't lose too many hours. Melanie and I are thinking of going somewhere but we haven't decided yet. Nothing really new going on, sorry.

Projects

Well for the last few weeks I have been working on a new project. (All in all I have been working on it for about six months now really.) Melanie acquired and old laptop, we are talking an old Toshiba with 128 MB of ram and an old Celeron processor.

Originally I took the thing apart and tried to use it as a separate monitor, but I wasn't too pleased with how it turned out, so now I am working to do something else with it. So far I have managed to gut an old DVD player and stuff the laptop motherboard into the DVD player's case. I have removed the extremely loud hard drive and put in a USB hub with some thumb drives. I left the CD player in just so it can boot from the CD. I am running Puppy Linux on it, which is a great, very small version of Linux. It boots from a CD and then switches to the USB drive, so you only hear the CD drive turn on for about a minute and then it goes silent. It has a wireless Internet card and hopefully it will have a cheap wireless keyboard and mouse. (If i can find a cheap one that is.) I have managed to find a VGA output cable that will convert the signal to S-video, that cost me about $5 online. I was hoping to be able to hook it up to a TV and watch Movies, TV shows and listen to music via the Internet, but I think the processor is a little to slow to handle it, bummer. So for now it looks like it will be a good, always on, 100% silent way to check your email on your TV. Haha, seems like a big waste of time now that I explain it all, but it gives me something to do while my sweet wife isn't home. Anyway, If anyone has any suggestions, please let me know.

Just Another Day

Today was a pretty long day. I went to my English class at ten. It was pretty boring today because we went to the library and learned how to look up books and articles online. It was boring only because I have already taken the little lesson on the library two other times in different classes so I am pretty familiar with how it all works.

After class I went to work and threw the dairy load. The dairy guy is on vacation this week so the rest of us get to cover for him. It was a pretty small load though so it wasn't too bad. I wrote the dairy load for Sunday and wrote my frozen load for Saturday.

After work I came home to my lovely wife and we watched a little TV while Melanie worked on a 1000 piece puzzle. I have been poking around the Internet trying to find some kind of media recorders that will allow you to record shows off of sites like fox.com, NBC.com, hulu, etc. I think I have found one, it is called Applian Media Replay Catcher, so far it seems to be working alright, we'll see when it is done recording.

Anyway, thanks to everyone that takes the time to read all this, I hope it gives a little peek into what I do all day. I am sorry that I haven't been posting very often, I will do better with that.

Today was a long day! I went to my English class as usual. I was assigned to write a proposal essay, the draft is due Thursday, talk about short notice. The final draft will be due on Tuesday. After class I went to work to throw the frozen load. Today we had some big wigs come in so naturally everyone was a little stressed out all day. Everything went fine however and everything is back to normal.

I have been browsing around on the internet and found a site that will pay you to just click and looks at adds for thirty seconds. We aren't talking about a whole lot of money here, but for those of us that have nothing better to do when we can't sleep, might as well make a few cents right? I have posted a link at the bottom of the page if anyone is interested.

In English today I turned in my paper on PCs. I hope it turned out OK... I have been really bored today, couldn't think of things to do (that hasn't happened for a while). Anyway, later today I went down to Dan and Ember's house. Melanie had a primary meeting and couldn't go. I really needed to get out of the house and Dan's computer was acting up so I went and fixed one of their computers and am now in the process of fixing the other, again. I also played Rock Band for the first time with Dan and Ember, it was pretty fun.

Anyway, so I don't have a whole lot to say today, sorry.

I love days off

I love having a day off... I especially love having two days off in a row! hahaha... (I have the day off tomorrow too, Yeah!) Well, today was mostly just another usual day. Woke up a little late due to the late night last night on the computer. I have found it harder and harder to fall asleep lately, I seem to go through cycles. I tend to go for a week or so with no problems falling asleep by eleven or twelve, then all the sudden I can't sleep until about one thirty or two in the morning. It is a little odd but doesn't seem to bother me. I can't say the same for Melanie though, but she seems to have become used to my crawling in bed at two in the morning... oops

I used to play racquetball with some friends on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays but now that Brock has a job it has been harder and harder to find time to get together to play, it has been a bummer. Now in my free time I try to keep busy by working on the site that Brock and I are building: courageouschicken.com. It is coming along nicely, Brock has done most of the designing and I deal with most of the physical setup of the server and what not. We are in hopes of becoming millionaires, so any input, support and advice would be appreciated.

I had a math test today, I feel like i did alright on it. I finished after about a half hour, stood up and took my paper to the teacher. As I laid my test in front of her she seemed surprised, like she couldn't believe I was done. As I gathered my stuff i caught a few more looks of surprise. All I could think was, "Man, I hope didn't skip a page or something." The test in general was a review from 1010 so it wasn't hard at all. We will see next week if i did all right or not.

I have recently had the opportunity to dissect a PlayStation 3... It was an interesting experience and lots of fun. I am now working on taking the laser diode out of the part that I replaced and making a blue laser pointer out of it. So far I have managed to get the diode out of the casing. Now i just need to figure out how to rig it up to work as a laser pointer....

Currently I am attending Weber State University. I am looking at majoring in the feild of Computer Electrical Engineering Technology (CEET). As of now I have only taken a few classes pertaining to this major other than my generals and I have loved every bit of them. I am taking math and english currently along with psychology and basic electronics. I get pretty stressed out between work and school but hey, whatever...
